Sylver''s Ideas

Post by Sylverstalker on Mon May 18, 2009 12:54 pm

Okay well HoS is moving a bit slow i think i may have over complicated it but it will work better with a bit of activity. A different Idea im working on:

It Is 1857 In Czechoslovakia (or nearby). It is dark times, the emperor is sickly and his youngest son wishes to take the throne over his brother the crowned prince. The youngest son will use whatever means possible to take the position of power, the aristocrats have been gifted, bribed and blackmailed into alliance with him.

Czech (possibly Romania, Austria, etc.) is a quirky place it is not unusual to see troupes of Carnie folk on the outskirts of town.

Within this quirky and confusing alternate past there is many movements in the advance of science, creating rumors of raising the dead as a modern Lazarus, mixtures of sciences with religion, creations of new weaponry and revolution in black powder technology.

But still as science advances there are many, some aren't even aware of it, who are gifted with the elemental powers, described in the orient as Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Wood.

The main idea is that you will be hired by a vampire slayer who has been commissioned by the crowned prince to kill any supernatural being that threatens the security of the kingdom. You may have ONE element to control and may be non human but id like most people to be human and those who aren't will have different restrictins on weaponry and elemental control.

Who likes the idea, or more to the point who would slay some beasts with me?

I like the idea

but I'd have to think of some restrictions to my character

restrictions? just stick to one element, don't go around saying 'woo, look at me, I can throw mountains around with a breath' and you'll be fine. it's easy to restrict yourself.

Ah, another I doubt I'll be joining, I'm not as interested in the ones based around a lot of combat, fight scenes don't translate to RPing all that well in my opinion.

I'm all for it! I just have one question for you...

Do you even realize how many Van Helsing clones you are about to get in your inbox? To quote Warcraft lore, "You are not prepared..."

Also, a list of the non-human options would be nice Twisted Evil

I agree there with Uber, and, Rotter, what I mean about restriction is, well for an example, Thagor off of Uber's rp in Origins. Big. Strong. Smart as a Walnut

Well actually as a slightly different approach i think i will be giving a list of characters that you can choose from (first there first picked), this way you are RPing someone elses idea not your own giving personality restrictions as well as abilities.

@GRIFF: if you look at this thread again, whilst fighting will be a necassary element to this RP it will be alot more of exploring the possibilities of this weird world im creating, and i want a lot of character interaction not fight sequeces on end.

I don't know, I can sure as hell tell you that neither of them share a race with his characters. Then again, sharing a race with Ignatius would be pretty much impossible.

EDIT: Wait, you stole his name? xD

Hmmm, the werewolf thing makes the first one tempting but the last one is too awesome to not have, so I'll take Alexander please.

For those of you that are familiar with it, im thinking of starting another RP in the world of the late 'Necromancer Chronicles' im just deciding when in its history and who the goodies and badies will be....im thinking either:

Orcish invasion (futher in the future of the world)
or
Elvsies VS Dwarvsies (long in the past of NC)

Much as I love dwarves, I gotta vote future every time... I need to have guns, crossbows, or any other high tech I can get my hands on.

Also, depending on how far in the future, would my character still be alive and playable?

How old was he?

this is about 200 years later, so if he was still alive he would be pretty old.
