Hearts Of Steel (ready for pm'd character requests)

It is the year 664 (2833 A.D.) The human race is in a form that is a mechanical mockery of what you and i know today...

In the year 2050 The need for energy was becoming dangerously apparent, overpopulation was a looming worry, humanity was consuming over 60% of the earths photosynthetic material. War was the obvious solution, the Greater Chinese Union (formerly Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Mongolia and Western section of what was formerly the Russian Federation) and United Europe were the major forces in the war, the US of A had driven into an irreversible economic decline in 2032, its weapons were deactivated and it was classed as a third world country that is overrun by tyrants, Africa was left in a similar situation but it didn't matter when the world went Nuclear in 2069, the Euro-Asian aggression escalated too far...

Regardless of whether or not it was deserved the human race had been saved be the creation of cyborg technology that was originally created to assist soldiers in strength and agility. Scientists saw the human induced apocalypse coming and created a series of suits that contained nothing but a DNA sample and the brain of their subjects, this organic tissue was placed in the nuclear resistant headpiece of the bots and their grey matter wired into the control system of the robotics. these subjects included the scientists themselves and they all hid themselves underground prepared for the end of the world as they knew it. Almost all life was killed in the nuclear blasts...

All of the mechanical humans that had been residing underground during the blasts and they managed to survive, using artificial human creation with the DNA storage that they had protected to create the next generation and place them in similar, newer metal shells to protect them. Both groups of survivors rebuilt, those survivors of United Europe still blamed the Greater Chinese Union for what had happened in the war vice-versa, but life went on, both groups of survivors developed their own technology and began redeveloping earth in the year 664, tension has re arisen, a task force has been created to demolish the new mechopolis being created by the enemies of the knights of purity (formerly Europe) you are one of these warriors 7 generations of 'human' later.....

This is a basic overview of the robot types (unfinished, i will make character sheets for people)

Alpha: Commander, Huge weapon master with complete tactical control. (Sylverstalker)
Beta: Technician, Most important member, without a tech the others could easily die. (vacancy)
Delta: Foot soldier, a jack of all trades master of none. ( 5 vacancies)
Gamma: Intelligence, equipped with many sensors to calculate risks etc. (Uber-Gam3r)
Lambda: Sniper, back row infantry. (Sora, 1 vacancy)
Sigma: Explosives. (Ragnant)
Omega: Second in command, defensive behemoths with excellent shielding devices and limited weaponry (color=orange]1 vacancy[/color])
Iota: Scout/infiltration, spies, masters of espionage always equipped with cloaking devices(Kage-no-tai,Evlon)

If people would like to take any of these roles in a taskforce please pm me and ill sort it each class has a slightly different character sheet to fill in.

Uber-Gam3r
Name: Gravus
Class: Gamma
Description: White metallic exoskeleton, the recesses in the armour cracks glow and change color with his mood. Built somewhat like a spider, low to the ground with graspers for climbing and acrobatic movements. Head looks similar to the Geth from Mass Effect.
Personality: Usually calm and sarcastic. Nice to those who treat him with respect, but more than capable of making your life a living hell. Tends to get paranoid and twitchy in combat situations.
Weapons: No actual weapons. A grappling hook like hand can be used for many purposes.
Other: He graduated top of nearly all of his tech classes and is a master hacker, but has failed basic combat training 13 times so far. With a nearly endless wealth of information, both important and trivial, he's the perfect informant... and none to shabby a trivial pursuit.

Ryobin
Name: Hugh
Class: Delta.
Description: Humanoid figure and size with a white metallic exoskeleton.
Personality: Strait shootin, no bull-sh!t
Weapons: Pulse rifle, Energy shield mounted on left forearm, activated and deactivated at will.
Other: Hugh, little does he know was genetically modified from embryonic stages and is thus, very good at following orders and very inventive in the middle of battle.


Sora

Name: Larik

Class: Lambda

Description: A white armored humanoid of human size.

Weapons: His left forearm is a sniper and the outer edge of his right is a curved blade for self defence in close situations.

Personality: enjoys joking around, constantly has to be told to stop joking by his superiors. Unless he is on a mission, then he becomes a completely different person, pure business.

Ragnant

Name: Kratos Aurion


Class: Sigma


Description: somewhat small, around 5'6", white armor cover most of his body except elbows, knees, head and hands they restrict some movement.

Equipment: he carries an array of plastic explosives the detonators link to a remote built into his left forearm. He carries several proximity mines
Personality: Kind of a bipolar person, he is calm most of the time, but every time he starts using his explosives he just can help getting excited and shouting.

Kage-no-tai

Name: Phoyz

Class: Iota

Description: A white humanoid figure roughly human size equipped with a cloaking device.

Weapons: His left hand is a claw, for the one handed assassinations when needed, also has an eye scope, that acts as a H.U.D. as well as an infra-red/ultra-violet light sensor.

Personality: not big with the talking, but likes to carry around a rock named Kitty. He also has an imaginary friend called Steve, who want everyone around him dead. So yeah bit on the crazy side.

Evlon

name: Magg(XIII)

class: lota

Description: Built like a slight human only made of white armor instead of flesh.

personality: mostly quiet and withdrawn, very loud when involved.

equipment: cloaking device, immobilizing device that when placed on an enemy, paralyzes them, Grappling hook.

Sylverstalker

Name: Albus, the white knight

Class: Alpha

Description: A hulking figure twice the height and three times as broad as a man, solidly armored for severe damage resistance.

Weapons: His left forearm is a mini gun and his right forearm has a power sword that can protrude from a cavity above his hand.

Personality: Im the boss attitude, likes to give the orders, but is truthfully a relitavly ignorant individual on moral and emotional levels.

OOC: Lock and Load

Albus Strode out of the Sub-city gates into tunnels of underground (ex) Germany the light shining dramatically behind him extenuating his colossal figure behind his enormous was his new task-force, the mission had begun...he began to walk slower as the motorized gates closed behind them mainly because he had very little sense of direction in these honeycomb tunnels. Albus stopped and turned quickly around "Navigation, lead the way..."

OOC:well might as well get this started....

Kratos took out what looked like some sort of navigational device out of one of his pockets "well according to this we have to go straight this tunnel until we reach the end, the take a left, a right and then another right... but" he then paused for a second "if I blow up this wall in here I think I can make a short... if anyone is interested..." he then looked around to see the reaction of his squad...

OOC: how much reaction can you get from a metal exosceleton?

Hugh stood ready to recieve instructions, pulse rifle unslung and aimed in the direction they were traveling, as soon as anything started to go down, he would be ready, the good soldior he was (sorry not much has happened so i dont have much to say yet)

OOC: I guess about the same as a roach

Mainly sticking to the shadows, Phoyz started rubbing the talons of his left hand-claw thing together. He usually did that when he had something to say, mainly about how something wasn't as stealthy as he liked it. Anything could compromise their position, so he liked to make sure he was in the perfect spot in case of ambush. "Bolder Crunch." he said, meaning that the noise would probably be as noticeable as an event such as that.

"We haven't even left the blue zone, kid" Albus said in his deep electronic voice "blow our way through, we shouldn't have a problem" He continued in his authoritarian manner as if daring someone to disagree with his command. Albus raised his left arm and began charging his chain-gun "come on blow it away or ill do my best to shred it!"

OOC:the fact we are humanoids, dosen't mean we can't have feelings, if not every character in the RP would be the same.

IC:Kratos got closed to the wall, getting a feeling of the material it shouldn't be much problem breacking throgh it, he planted explosives around the middle part as not to cause unecesary damage. He headed back and stood behind a pillar next to the wall " alright explosion going in 5.... 4.... aww screw this" after that being said he pressed the detonation switch on his arm and the explosion was set of. The only thing that could be seen now was a big cloud of dust.

OOC: they still have brains of thier own!

IC:"thank ye' kindly Kratos" Albus boomed in a cowboy accent not knowing where this accent really origionated hudreds of years earlier. " lets move through!"

"You know, being in these tunnels is kind of annoying for me, even if something shows up, you guys will be running about willie nillie." Larik said, flailing his arms about, "Just watch yourselves."

"I doubt the enemy even comes down here", Larik said to Gravus, taking a step through the hole. Using his rifle arm, he pointed down the tunnel, "I doubt we will find anything...I see nothing."

Regardless of whether Larik could see anything a scouting group of Black wraiths had somehow noticed that a group of white nights were marching through their patrol zone, They activated their cloaking fields and began hovering around the group, whipping their bladed spine like stabilizers, waiting for the opportune moment to strike.....

Albus got his immense foot stuck in a fault of the cement in the tunnel and fired up his energy sword to start cutting himself out...

Gravus suddenly whipped around. "Sir, I'm picking up minor power fluctuations from that general area. Should we check it out?"

"Just a moment" Albus grunted still trying to cut his foot piece out of the pavement "I doubt its anything so close to hom.." Albus's blade flicked up from too much force against the cement and a flash of red light glinted in the air "OH!" Albus spoke before throwing himself backwards, foot still stuck in the ground "WERE SURROUNDED! GET IN FORMATION" Albus boomed with a hint of panic as a skeletal body appeared above his body and promptly tried to drive its bladed tail into his headpiece. "Gravus send a high frequence pulse to distrupt thier cloaks!" Albus yelled as he narrowly dodged the blade...

He did as he was told. The frequency rocked through the tunnels and the enemy flickered into view. "Everybody duck!" he screamed, jumping to the ceiling. Picking up a large rock with his grappling arm, he began swinging it around over the group's head, forming a weak deterrence against coming towards them. "Somebody shoot something... please?!?!"

Larik yelled, "Bout time!" as he brought his rifle to bear, he saw kratos stick one, Larik aimed at an ememy about to jump for Gravus. Larik sighted the target, which leaped for Gravus... *BOOM* the sound of the shot reverberated through the tunnels. The bullet ripped through the armor and most of the torso as well, the enemy flew harmlessly past Gravus and crumpled on the ground.

Larik pulled the bolt on his arm back and another shot went into the chamber, Lariks single eye glowed an intense red, signifying that he was in 'mission mode'

"We've got a problem. Man down!" Gravus yelled over the noise of battle. He released his rock (Which incidentally managed to smash an enemy's head into the wall), dropped to the ground, hooked his hand to Phoyz's head, and ripped him out of the pile of bodies. "Gotta be more careful next time, tough guy! The yellow light behind his armor was glowing brighter as the enemy closed in on him.

"GRAVUS! Behind you!" Larik shouted as he saw the enemy behind gravus, Larik took three steps, jumped, using his rifle as a pole vault to get over a downed enemy, and landed right behind the enemy. Larik raised his non-rifle arm, and the blade slid out above his hand, Larik jammed the blade right into the base of the neck on the enemy. Larik sliced the blade quickly to the right, effectivly beheading the enemy. "Watch yourself, I can't always save you." Larik said, all sarcasm gone from his voice, he was in mission mode.

My charachter suddenly and unexpectedly exploded

"Noooooo! We lost Hugh! He never even got a chance to pay me back from last night's poker game!" Gravus wailed. An enemy who had been about to grab him from behind glanced towards the smoking crater, giving Gravus time to reach back and pull out some vital power conduits. "How many of these guys are there? I'm feeling kinda helpless, here!"

OCC: Might as well tie that into the story

Phoyz, who was still injured was about to do something completely unexpected. He was about to say more than a four words. "War-hero. Less than ten." which was meant to be taken as "Hugh should now be considered a war hero for dieing in action, even if it was unintentional suicide. There is now about nine or ten of them left.". He was able to tell this via his unit's programing, making it a necessity to know how many enemies there were. Of course more could still come.
