My current plan: The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny

If you haven't heard the song...eh, you really don't have to. The main point is that just about everyone from everywhere gets into a giant Battle Royale. Chuck Norris fights Indiana Jones. Godzilla takes on Optimus Prime.

My goal is for anyone who joins to make whoever they want, and to join the battle. Make it fair, and make it make as much sense as something like this can. Darth Vader can't choke The Blob, so that would be a weakness, so you'd have to make sure you apply that. Like Infection, there would be a pretty high mortality rate, so you could get in and out of the battle pretty quickly, and it would be difficult to block the entire game.

Is anyone interested in this? To be honest, I'm surprised something like it hasn't been made already.

They just never seem to... well, be interesting to me, I guess. The appeal of posts consisting largely of verbose ways to say "I hit it again" isn't quite my forté.

I did figure as much. The real key to combat RP's is making it interesting and actually allowing yourself to fail. If you think of some way to block every single thing that comes at you, it gets boring for everyone involved.

Still, you have MU and eventually the Pirate RP. You should be good, eh?

if you hate fights so much why were you the first one to bug me on being black pirates.....

but I do kinda agree with grif on this... maybe just make it COMPLATELY random, like in one post your dark vader, and the next your Mr.T, everyone will be using a different chracter and kill someone of in the most cool/grose/funny way they can...

another idea we could try is one that chia made back at the origins( yeah sorry for bringing it up), the RP was a simple tavern, we made a character, and we just chatted... no fights... no quests... no nothing.

If this one went up, most people would only last about 5-10 posts, unless they chose someone really good.

As for the 'Bar' game that Chia had up... I didn't have that much interest in that one. There was no real point, in my opinion.

I think this RP could be cool in a stupid funny way, but maybe every warrior only lasts one post and is killed in the next. Just as some light entertainment.

Just imagine all the characterization in a single post! The unmatched depth! The sarcasm levels!
That aside, I do think it could be rather amusing but it sounds like it would pretty much be the “king of the hill” forum game, with actual death and more random characters.

Pretty much, but would it be more fun to have each character actually have a chance of beating what came next, or just have the next poster automatically win?

Have a chance, "I win" "now I do" "No I do again" ect ect ect, is boring, quickly, could you try to actually have some form of a story behind this? With some aims? Even if the general plan for what will happen is the same, I'd rather this was still more RP than forum game =/

I think a The Ultimate Showdown would be fun for maybe a week, but by then it would be getting a bit boring, we'd all have used up our favourite fighters and would probably be using Spongebob Squarepants by then, and the whole thing would be stupid. But yeah, if it was made I'd join. I suggest that Chuck Norris is not allowed to be used by anyone, and (this bit just a maybe) when everyone's bored and the maker (presumably Uber) would post that Chuck Norris comes and kills everyone.

@ Happy -That might be a good endpoint, but I'd need a detailed account of every single death

I'd say there are enough awesome characters out there to last at least a month. And with the speed people have been posting around here lately, it could go on for years

@ Griff - A story is definitely a good idea, and I'm always open to suggestions.

aahh sorry, stuff has been happening. I spent all weekend showing one of my friends the joy of Rock music , cleaning, more college stuff (it never bloody ends '-.- ), and yesterday I got inFAMOUS, kick ass game. Plus I'm right now DLing a multiplayer demo I got for purchasing inFAMOUS, and tomorow I have to go to wal mart and get a play station store pre paid card to get FFVII!!!!!!!

so a lot of things in my plate right now, I'll try to post up the characters tonight, and I need Sora to re send his characeter sheet.... hopefuly some one else will join up seriously or the crew will be kindad empty.
