New RP

Ok, so we all want one, but no one is going to jump in

So, how about a vote?

This will be the first vote, to chose a genre, then we can propose the campaign and the settings.

I will probably be the one running the RP, but i invite every one to contribute, i don't wanna be a DM, i wanna have a large RP which hopefully won't die.

Just think of this as us all working together to make things easier, like making beer, so we can all chillax...i guess that's why they call it a homebrew rp.

oh, and i forgot to add, as a way of enforcing good RP and getting people into it, i want to use some high standards, so using individual colours, proper spelling and punctuation. With atleast 1-2 para's each reply, this way we can all get our characters to evolve and move with the plot.

I vote Fantasy, though some variant thereof might be cool...

Fantasy-Sci Fi, Fantasy Steampunk, Fantasy Cthulhu...

i personally want a futuristic war game like space battles and stuff or another zombie rp mayb even a umm idk anytrhing with death fighting and killing rofl

I was thinking more of a sci-fi, futuristic space battle aswell.

or we could go for a sci-fi, zombies in space thing...not like a copy of dead space, but a horror/sci-fi ship.

not like halo kinda space battles but well kinmda same weps but nto ships and races

i was writing one up, but got sidetracked and will have to finish it later...

really busy week for me.

I will have a think about it...ill try and make something with a few less rules than my usual RP worlds. Do we want cliche or origional?

Lol okay, im thinking something like the flood from halo (or any other kind of viral zombie) maybe some aliens, rail guns, EMP's to save the day, etc.

So what we need now is some backstory, rules for what kind of people we can be some other basic world rules, a really cliche name and some interested RPers. Should we make it a RP where noone is the master of the plot and just let it run with everyones ideas?

every1s ideas backstory could be something like humanity never stopped the worlds destruction so they had to leave earth and now they have come across a new world infested by sumthing rofl idk

Hey i just opened up MS word and started thinking about the ideas of scifi horror, im not sure if im too good at it but heres what 10 mins got me:

After being sabotaged by a nomadic race of savage aliens a cargo ship transporting dangerous weaponry to earth has been lost in space, the navigation systems have been damaged and the surviving crew are far from the bridge, little do they know that the attacking aliens were carrying a viral infection and that many of the wounded on the ship had contracted this bizarre extra terrestrial disease. The survivors needed to make it to the bridge and repair the navigation systems in order to survive, getting there was going to be hard enough, never mind the zombies…

Does anyone else like the idea? want to elaborate or modify it a little to work around some scifi and horror concepts?

love it but were are they at when this happend cargo bay? were weapons were? or engine room? mess hall? barracks?

Well it was a pitch i was hoping everyone could contribute thier ideas then start thinking of characters. Once we have a solid start for it i will email all the members of the site inviting them to join in on our new RPs and keep the site livley.

Sorry to double post but ive been putting more thought into it. I think we should have a very active OOC for this RP and try to plan it collectivley to certain major objectives.

For a completley theoretical example

End the RP with-

Characters sacrificing themselves by blowing up the ship

or

continue the RP and have them salvage the now infected alien ship.

then we would discuss the proposition in the OOC and decide on one or create a new idea by consensus, kinda like we are writing a script for a movie together...

Good idea? or am i jumping the gun?

oh and i though of an Name for it, especially if it is movie-esque in the way we write it together.

sounds good, close to what i was writing up, but i put too much detailed thought into the sci-fi of it...

I like the team writing idea, makes the story more original and allows the plot not to be controlled by one DM.

I could probably help with making a few stereotypical characters, but writing good plots always seems to be my Achilles heel...

looking at the poll above some people want fantasy. Well im working on one of them too

this is like a mix of wat we al lr saying i think its fantyasy scifi and horror kinda but i personally hate fantasy

But in all seriousness, I'm just looking for more RP's to be a part of. The slowness of this beloved site that is the daughter site of another beloved site that got me started with RPing in the first place is a sad, sad thing
